OUR STORY
Serving Northwest Washington Since 1995
Lorraine’s Window Coverings began in 1995 as a home-based business in Sudden Valley. Through personal service, dependable workmanship, and an eye for thoughtful design, Lorraine built lasting relationships with homeowners and businesses throughout the region.
As the company grew, it remained locally owned and family operated. In 2017, Lorraine’s Window Coverings opened its Bellingham showroom in Bakerview Square, giving customers a comfortable place to see, touch, and operate different window treatments before making a decision.
Today, our team continues to provide the personalized attention of a local business, supported by an extensive selection of custom products from respected window treatment manufacturers. Although our selection has grown, our goal remains the same: to make choosing custom window coverings straightforward, comfortable, and enjoyable.
Meet Our team
Owner
Lorraine Vinish
Lorraine grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and moved to Bellingham in 1991. In 1995, while raising her two children in Sudden Valley, she started her window covering business on her own with a simple goal: to help people create spaces that feel both beautiful and functional. Over the past 30 years, she has built lasting relationships throughout Whatcom, Skagit, and the San Juan Islands, serving generations of clients and even completing window treatments for some customers in multiple homes. Her decades of hands-on experience have made her a trusted expert in all things window treatments.
Outside of work, Lorraine enjoys spending time with her two granddaughters, traveling, listening to music, and playing the guitar. She genuinely loves her work, and that passion continues to shape the experience she provides every customer.
Design Consultant & Installer
Luc
Luc is Lorraine’s son-in-law and began working for Lorraine’s Window Coverings, Inc. as an installer in 2018. He is a Certified PowerView Pro installer and a Hunter Douglas Certified installer. He has taken multiple training courses in Colorado under the Hunter Douglas Installer Program. Luc has developed a reputation among our customers as being professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and accommodating.
Design Consultant
Natasha
Natasha has undergone window interior design training in Wisconsin with Lorraine and has been enjoying putting her knowledge into practice while working closely with our clients.
She is friendly, patient, and detail-oriented, making the design process easy and comfortable for clients. Natasha excels at listening and offering thoughtful suggestions, ensuring each project is personal and well-suited to the home.
Design Consultant
Ginny
Ginny brings a unique creative perspective to Lorraine’s, with an award-winning background in theatrical design. A magna cum laude graduate of WWU, she offers a thoughtful eye for texture, lighting, and atmosphere, and uses a warm, supportive approach to help clients choose window treatments that truly fit their homes. Since joining our team in August 2025, she has continued expanding her expertise while working toward new certifications. Outside of work, Ginny enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her fiancé, Thomas, and their cats, Rico and Daisy.
Professional Installer
Gio
Gio enjoys helping homeowners enhance their spaces with quality window coverings. With hands-on experience installing blinds, shades, and custom window treatments, he understands the craftsmanship and attention to detail that go into every project.
Known for his friendly personality and strong work ethic, Giovanni takes pride in providing excellent service and building lasting relationships with customers. He is committed to creating a positive experience and ensuring each installation is completed with care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Josh
Josh was born and raised in Mount Vernon, WA, and has been working in the installation industry since 2025. He is a certified Hunter Douglas installer and has completed Hunter Douglas installer training in Colorado. Josh takes pride in his craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to providing customers with professional, reliable service.
Accounting & Administration
Sommer
Sommer is Lorraine’s daughter and has been part of Lorraine’s Window Coverings since 2020, helping with accounting and administration. You may occasionally see her at the showroom or lending a hand wherever needed. She enjoys being part of the family business and helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Customer Service
Giselle
Originally from the Bay Area, California, Giselle brings over 15 years of experience in hospitality and 11 years in cosmetology. Throughout her career, she has helped restaurants and salons manage, oversee, and train their teams to exceed industry standards, with top-tier customer service always being a priority. After moving to Washington to enjoy a slower-paced and more meaningful life with her husband, Giovanni, and their Maltipoo, Bruschetta, Giselle joined Lorraine’s Window Coverings, where she brings her passion for people, service, and attention to detail to every customer experience. She has also completed Hunter Douglas installer training in Colorado, adding specialized knowledge and expertise to her role.
