Lorraine’s Window Coverings, Inc. carries a wide selection of window treatments, including Hunter Douglas sheers and shadings, honeycomb shades, Roman shades, roller shades, screen shades, shutters and blinds.
Lorraine started her business in 1995 out of her home from Sudden Valley in Bellingham, Washington. Over the years she has grown a reputation throughout the local area for her high customer service standards. Lorraine’s Window Coverings has grown into a family-owned business that has been serving the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years! In 2017 Lorraine opened her showroom in Bakerview Square that has beautiful displays of blind and drapery options.
During that time, she also expanded her business to sell some brands of furniture and rugs. Lorraine works alongside with her daughter-in-law, Lariza, and son-in-law, Luc. We also have two wonderful employees that are like close family to us, Julie, and Shanda. We look forward to meeting you!

Lorraine Vinish
Owner
Lorraine grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Bellingham in 1991. She has been in the window covering business since 1995 and has enjoyed many years of happy customers in Whatcom, Skagit and the San Juan Islands. Her time in the window covering industry has made her an expert in all things window treatments. In Lorraine’s free time she loves spending time with her granddaughter Camille. She also loves to travel and loves listening music and playing the guitar.
Luc Bernard
Installer
Luc is Lorraine’s son-in-law and began working for Lorraine’s Window Coverings as an installer in 2018. He is a Certified PowerView Pro installer and a Hunter Douglas Certified installer. He has taken multiple training courses in Colorado and California under the Hunter Douglas Installer Program. Luc has developed a reputation among our customers as being professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and accommodating (Check out our google reviews!). In Luc’s free time he enjoys mountain biking, hiking and frisbee golfing. He also loves traveling and is fluent in French and Spanish.
Lariza Vinish
Design Consultant
Lariza is Lorraine’s daughter-in-law and has been working for Lorraine since 2013. She is also a Certified Hunter Douglas Installer travelling to Colorado for her training. As a Hunter Douglas Certified Installer she has an advantage in knowing the function of the blinds and what will and not work in a window. With a natural eye for detail and design, she can create window coverings that are beautiful but also are functional. She is an expert with Motorization, Shutters, and Draperies. Because of her talent for design and excellent customer service, she has had hundreds of happy customers! Lariza loves a challenge. When Lariza is not working she loves spending time with her beautiful baby daughter Camille and her family. She is also a delicious cook and is an expert in making vegan dishes. She is also fluent Spanish.
Shanda Ramirez
Design Consultant
Shanda has lived in Whatcom County for 17 years. Throughout those years she has spent much time in interior design, so she made a perfect fit to become one of our design consultants. She has developed a reputation of making her customers feel important, being genuinely friendly, helpful and a good listener. Things Shanda like to do for fun are spending time outdoors, biking, and being with family.
Julie Disanza
Design Consultant
Julie is local to the area, living in Whatcom county for most of her life. She has been in the window coverings and interior design industry for over 15 years alongside her husband, Ron, who is a professional blind installer. Because of this experience she is a truly knowledgeable design consultant and wonderful member of our team! Her customers appreciate her eye for interior design and ability to troubleshoot, as well as her friendly and helpful manner. It is quite apparent that she loves what she does and enjoys working with people. In her free time, she loves boating with her family and exploring the beautiful San Juan Islands.
Bryan Renteria
Installer
Bryan has lived in the PNW for 17 years. Growing up, he has always been very dexterous. Because of this, he enjoys the work of installing blinds, shades and other high end window coverings. In his free time, Bryan likes to read, attend car shows, and try different types of coffees and teas. Bryan is also fluent in Spanish and English.
